We electrify urban mobility
Electronic components for the mobility of tomorrow
Urban mobility is facing its greatest change in decades. Existing mobility concepts are becoming electrified and considered from a new perspective. Cities like Paris aspire to have car-free city centres, offering innovative ideas and space to develop. All modern concepts have one thing in common, namely the fact that the combustion engine will no longer play a role. Smaller, more lightweight and, thus, safer systems using e-motors are increasingly sought after. REO components are already well suited to use in urban mobility. The various electronic components are already used both in small batches as well as in large-scale production.
The complete conversion to e-mobility is also accompanied by the demand for enhanced networking and coupling of infrastructure. Live data recording and diagnostic tools are a key basis for ensuring the efficient control of traffic. As part of initial research projects involving international manufacturers, REO AG has also been able to demonstrate the uniqueness of its products and its manufacturing process in this sector too.
For many people, a Club Car is the simplest, quickest and most environmentally friendly way to cover short distances quietly. Vehicles like this featuring REO components are used all over the world on golf courses, in hotel complexes, in green spaces or on the premises of large company headquarters. The Club Car is even used to transport passengers around major airports and train stations. There are virtually no limits in terms of how these vehicles can be used. They are used within gated residential complexes to transport people around as an alternative to conventional cars (known as a neighbourhood electric vehicle). An example of this is The Villages in Florida – a complex with more than 50,000 residents, and with virtually every single household having a Club Car.
The simple, low maintenance component structure ensures the vehicles perform well when comparing the costs versus benefits. Most of these REO components are produced to a high protection rating, preventing salty air or tropical rainfall from causing damage to the motor. Like all of the products in the range, performance and dimensions can be tailored to your specific project.

In order to charge products with active and reactive power, REO offers ohmic, inductive and capacitive loads in line with the required application and usage conditions. These loads can be implemented in different stages, either activated directly on the load or via coordinated interfaces. There are various options available to control, visualise and transfer measurement values. These include, among others, the control and exchange of data via PC, PLC or standardised industrial interfaces. The operating mode can also be set here using the button or touch screen panel on the device, or via remote control.
